The Borough of Sea Girt is a small shore community located in Monmouth County, NJ.  The Sea Girt Police Department protects a 1.05 square mile area which is home to 2,179 residents.  Sea Girt is mostly a residential community with a small business district and no industry.

The Sea Girt Police Department is dedicated to preserving the well being of our residents and visitors through prevention of crime and maintaining law and order.  The crime prevention and community policing efforts put forth by our department has made Sea Girt one of the safest communities in Monmouth County.

Recent Burglaries - Wednesday, March 03, 2010

ATTENTION RESIDENTS:

The Borough of Sea Girt has experienced a series of home burlgaries over the past few weeks.  Our Department would like to remind all residents to lock the doors of their homes at all times, utilized alarm systems you may have installed, and use any security lightling you have around your property.  These are the best ways to avoid being a victim of a burglary.


This Department also asked that if any resident believes they are victims of a burgalry or a theft, finds they are missing money or other items from their car or home, or sees anything they feel is suspicious, to call the Police Department right away.  Any delay in reporting any of these circumstances deminishes our ability to investigate the matter.
