The Borough of Sea Girt has experienced a series of home burglaries over the past few weeks. Our Department would like to remind all residents to lock the doors of their homes at all times, utilized alarm systems you may have installed, and use any security lighting you have around your property.
These are the best ways to avoid being a victim of a burglary.
This Department also asked that if any resident believes they are victims of a burgalry or a theft, finds they are missing money or other items from their car or home, or sees anything they feel is suspicious, to call the Police Department right away. Any delay in reporting any of these circumstances deminishes our ability to investigate the matter.
