THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM THE SEA GIRT BOROUGH OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MAGAGEMENT:

Mayor and Council are requesting the assistance of all Sea Girt citizens to cease watering your lawns, vehicles and property from today, through the end of the day on 30 June 2010.
The reason for this request is that our Boro is very close to exceeding our monthly Water allocation for the Boro.  This threshold is established by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and we very close to our threshold for June 2010.

This request for ceasing to watering your lawns/ vehicles over the next 4.5 days is also in accordance with new Sea Girt Ordinance 07-2010.

Please note that this request  does not pertain to the use of  non-potable water supplied by private well or means other than through the Borough’s water system. *

Again – we kindly ask that you do not water your lawns and or wash your vehicles during the period of 26 June through 30 June 2010.

If any of our citizens have any questions regarding their sprinkler system, as relates to turning it off, please feel free to contact Public Works at  732 449 6463 starting 28 June.

THANK YOU FOR YOU COOPERATION
