As we enter into the half way point in winter storm Jonas I want to remind residents of the following information;
We are still under a state of emergency issued by Governor Christie, this may be updated to a mandatory travel ban by later this afternoon.
To report power outages please call ;

• Text message: Text OUT to 544487. (New users will be prompted to register their account. Standard message and data rates may apply.)
DO NOT CALL 911 TO REPORT A POWER OUTAGE.
We have current power outages located in the south part of town. JCP&L is currently on location and addressing the problem. The Sea Girt Firehouse will be open as a warming station. Please call 732-449-5752 to arrange that if you wish.
I would also ask, If you are without power, please send me an email with your name, address, phone contact. That way we can manage exactly how many outages we have. My email address is kdavenport@seagirtpd.net
If you have direct vent heating it is important to check the vent pipes on the exterior of your house for accumulated snow drifts. Direct vent heating is usually installed on newer heating systems. If you are unsure if you have this type heating system, please call your heating and cooling service contractor.
Please stay away from the beach area and avoid walking in streets as plows pose a serious danger to pedestrians with this poor visibility
When conditions improve please coordinate with your neighbors and shovel out the hydrant by your house.
