Last evening (February 24th, 2017), two officers from the Sea Girt Police Department were honored by the New Jersey State PBA Local 50 at their annual Valor Awards Ceremony. Patrolman Douglas Nesbitt and Patrolman Zachary Sherman of the our agency, along with Patrolman Ryan Reiff and Patrolman Sean Duggan of the Spring Lake Police Department received the Exceptional Duty Award for disarming an armed subject with a knife in August 2016. We congratulate these officers from both agencies and stand committed to always assist our neighboring law enforcement agencies.
