The Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA’s) second National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is this Saturday, April 30th. More than 5,100 sites nationwide have joined the effort that seeks to prevent pill abuse and theft. This is hundreds more sites than were established for the event last fall. The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Sea Girt Police Department is working together with this nationwide effort to collect expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs that area potentially dangerous if left in the family’s medicine cabinet. Our headquarters, located at 319 Baltimore Boulevard, in Sea Girt, NJ will be one of these collection sites.
