Chief Sidley Honored

Dec 23, 2010

On December 23rd, the students and staff of the Sea Girt Elementary School honored Chief Edward J. Sidley Jr. for his years of service to the Borough of Sea Girt.  Students lined up and gave Chief Sidley a welcoming applaud as he entered the all purpose room where School Superintendent Stephen LaValva spoke about Chief Sidley’s support and service to the school and our community.

The Sea Girt Board of Education honored Chief Sidley with the passage of a resolution proclaiming his dedication to the community and the School District during his years of service.  This resolution was read to the staff and students and presented to the Chief.

Chief Sidley announced his retirement from the Sea Girt Police Department after over 33 years in Law Enforcement.  Chief Sidley worked in Ocean Gate, Island Heights, and Spring Lake Heights Police Departments prior coming to the Borough of Sea Girt.  He spent the past 25 years dedicating himself to the Borough.
