On 12/21/201, at approximatly 3:34 p.m., the Sea Girt Police Department responded to a one vehicle collision in front of the Sea Girt Post Office in The Plaza.  The single vehicle struck a Federal Express mail box and iron hand railing.  This vehicle then struck the Sea Girt Post Office and came to rest on the two passenger side wheels.

The operator of the vehicle was checked by EMTs from the Manasquan First Aid Squad but declined transportation to the hospital for medical treatment.  Franks Towing responded to remove the vehicle and the Sea Girt Building Inspector, Mr. Sandy Ratz responded to check the structure of the Post Office.  Sea Girt Police Officers Chief Sidley, Captain Conway, Patrolman Macko,  Officer  Kremp, and Officer McDonald also responded.  The incident is being investigated by Patrolman Justin Macko.
